where are all the yaoyorozu momo stans. this girl has an S class intelligence, 6/5. she’s the smartest person in class a, the top of her class. she got into UA, the most prestigious school in the country, on reccomendations. she outwitted a girl who’s quirk was super intelligence. like… momo is such a badass. not only is her quirk incredibly useful and versatile, but it’s also complicated, and i never see people give her any credit for how proficienct she is with it. in order for her to create anything, she has to know it’s structural make up on a base level. and she knows how to make a lot of stuff, and make it fairly quickly. she’s already been shown to make a variety of things like sheilds, swords, canons, shock resistant blankets, flash bombs disguised as dolls, and alloys that harden under cold conditions. like. holy shit? her intelligence is terrifying.
and not only is momo insanely powerful, but she’s likeable. she’s not just some snob, she’s been portrayed as sweet and generous from the get go. she doesn’t think of her intelligence and her wealth as something that puts her above everyone else. when she heard that some of her classmates needed tutoring, she offered to help them all without hesitating. she even got excited about the prospect, almost immediately offering to open up her family’s study hall and make tea for all of them. and throughout the story, she’s shown to consistently care about her classmates and their wellbeing. she was one of only five people in class a that went to rescue bakugou, and it wasn’t a decision that was clouded by personal judgement like midoriya or kirishima. she’s literally one of the kindest, most capable students in the entire class and for some reason everyone sleeps on that.
Most companies are probably going to continue their regular food safety procedures, but a few things you can do to reduce some personal risk:
Buy hard, solid veggies and fruits (apples, melons) or ones with rinds (bananas are probably fine). Scrub the peel/rind thoroughly with soap and water before consumption.
The more solid and dense the meat, the less likely it is for contamination to spread very far. Buy your meat in solid cuts, NOT GROUND. Especially not ground chicken rn, salmonella bad.
Cook things thoroughly. Follow guidelines for the internal temperatures meat is supposed to reach and stick to those guidelines. Use a meat thermometer. Make your steaks well done for a while.
I’d stay away from shellfish as a whole if I were you. The diseases you can get from it are some of the nastier ones. No sushi for a while, too. If you have fish, make sure it was frozen following anti-parasitic guidelines and cook thoroughly.
AVOID LEAFY GREENS. This is where we’ve been seeing the most outbreaks lately, so be very careful.
The pregnant, elderly, immunocompromised, and the very young are the ones most at risk in an outbreak. If you are in one of these groups, be extremely cautious and avoid soft cheeses and prepackaged deli meats. Check on friends and family in these groups. Report symptoms of foodborne illness to a doctor so they can report to the state health depts that are still running.
Even with these in mind, remember that most outbreaks of foodborne illness are due to things like improper cooking and storage. Stay safe out there, folks 💙
